Farmers include men and women who engage in the act of farming to cultivate and produce vegetables, livestock, honey, fiber, and/or medicines within the Virgin Islands as a part of their primary income on an annual basis. Farmer members must have at least one full year of farming experience and a current/valid USVI farmer’s license and/or evidence of currently working for a licensed farm in the USVI for over 1 calendar year. Only farmer members may vote in official VIFA proceedings.
Includes immediate family (by blood or marriage) of active Farmer members.
New/aspiring farmers who currently have less than one year of farming experience and/or do not have a current VI Farmers License.
This category may include but is not limited to, farm supporters, retail & wholesale customers, advocates, ambassadors, government employees, university agriculture extension members, non-profit workers, grant writers, and all others with an interest in agriculture.
